CHEER

1) to salute with shouts of approval, congratulation, triumph, etc.
2) to gladden or cause joy to; inspire with cheer
3) to encourage or incite

4) to become happier or more cheerful

You know those stories you hear about that have you on the edge of your seat? The ones that have your fingers crossed (and your arms, legs, toes, etc.), you know -- just in case it really does work? 

You also know those people who you just adore? Like the coworker who turns into a friend (and you find out is your sorority sister) and quickly becomes a role model. The one who pushes you just enough at all the right times in order to help you grow (and gives great blog advice!).

You know the couples that you see and you think to yourself, "they would be AMAZING parents"? You see how wonderful they are as individuals, how whole they become when they are together, and how you secretly wish you could be their child.

Well that couple, the woman, and their story is real. It may not have been the normal "once upon a time" story -- but the part that matters, "happily ever after", is coming true. 

Natalie, I could not be more thrilled to hear that you have welcomed Baby G into the world today! Your answered prayer is proving to be one tough little lady and I cannot wait until I have the chance to meet her. You know what William Shakespeare said, right? "Though she be but little, she is fierce!” (You have already seen her throw her arms in the air for victory as she entered the world, undoubtedly also cheering you on for all that you have already done for her.) I know motherhood is going to come so natural to you because I have already seen the patience, kindness, and motivation you give so readily to others. 

So here is to you and your complete family. Elliana has quite the fan club already and I hope she knows that I am looking forward to being in the front row. Watching your story unfold is something I am thankful I have had the chance to witness and I can cannot help feeling elated for you. She is here! Healthy and sweet! You know how we have rooted for you along the way, but today is an extra special day to CHEER!
